FEILDING'S SPORT RECORD.
PREPARING TO CEMBRATE,
(Bs Telcarauh.-BDCcial Oorrcsnondent.) Feilding, September 20. There was a large attendance at the meeting convened by the Feilding Footbnll Club to consider the advisability of holding a function to celebrate tlio victory of the locnl players in almost every branch of sport. The Mayor (Mr. Goodbehorc), who occnpied tlio chair, staled that it gavo him very great pleasure to preside at tlio meetin? to commemorate; tlio extraordinary and wonderful position which Feildint! had attained in the world of sport. Ho had not only come there a? Mayor, tout because ho was a sympathiser with all kinds of sport. Ho had been a representative footballer in his day, and even then they were able to beat Pahncrslon. (Laughter.) It was resolved that the celebration should take the form of a musical evening with a supper and a dance in tho Drill Hall on October 17, and half a dozen sub-committees were set up to organise.
