1 • ACCIDENT OFF SALONIKA. Constantinople, September 17. The British steamer Barrowmore (3765 tons gross) strnck a stray torpedo near Salonika, and had to be beached. (Rec. September 19, 0.25 a.m.) Constantinople, September 18. The steamer Barrowmoro fouled a submarine mine off Salonika. She has a hole twelve feet square in her hull. The authorities have accused the captain of disregarding signals.
