Tlirough a riot at a football match at Belfast sixty people were injured. Five were wounded by revolver shots. Roman Catholic supporters of the players hoisted a green flag, and Protestants, under the Union Jack, attacked them. Stone-throwing' was general. The police subdued the riot by many baton charges. (Bcc. September 16, 12 p.m.) London, September IG. Over a thousand persons fought grimly for half an hour in the Belfast riot. A hundred were injured, sixty of whom had (0 1m taken to the hospital. Many had fractured skulls, and a constable lost an eye. The. troops are being confined to bar-! racks in apprehension of further trouble in the ship yards.
THE ARGUMENT OF THE BLUDGEON. ME. DILLON INDIGNANT. (Eec. September 16, 12 p.m.) London, September IG. Mr. John Dillon, of the Irish Nationalist party, speaking at Kells, in County Mealh, declared that tho only argument of the Unionists against Homo Eule was the argument of the bludgeon, the boot, and iron nuts. The Orangemen's idea of civil war was to attack, their fellowcountrymen, who had a majority'of ten to one.
Mr. Dillon denounced Hie Duke nf Norfolk, who is n Catholic, for participating in Hie Blenheim Palace meeting, anil not protesting against Mr. Rnnnr Law's approval of Orangemen kicking Tlonian Catholics to death at Belfast. He challenged the Duke of Norfolk to condemn the speech. *
