BUSINESS HOLIDAYS.
WORK DAYS AND LEISURE DAYS. Last night tho Wellington Chamber of Commerce considered the question of what holidays should be observed by mercantile Wellington. Tho president, sl>. A. E. Mnbin, stated at tho outset that the holidays which it was found could not very well be disregarded were:—Labour Day. Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Day, lung's Birthday. Good Friday, Faster Saturday, and ' Easter .Monday. These would be observed.
Tt was decided by tho meeting that Dominion Day, December 27, December 2S, January 2.'and Arbor Day ought,not to be observed this year.
It was resolved that the Prince of Wales' Birthday ought to be observed.
