The/win of the football seniors on Saturday in the competition for the Hankins Rugby shield completes a verv good record iu sport for Feilding. At present a Feilding club holds tho Dixon Cup for bowling, tho Feilding Cricket Club holds the Barraud Clip, tho Feilding Park Cricket Club holds tho Guthrie Shield, tho Orona Tennis Club holds tho Wellington Country Cup, tho United Hockey Club holds the Romney Cup, the Lvtton Street School holds the Mnnnwatusciiools' cup and tilt* district schools' cricket cup, and the Feilding Football Club the Hankins Shield (seniors), and the Foo'te' Shield (juniors). The Feilding Cricket Club Ins held the district championship for six years in . succession, and the Feilding Football Club has Held the senior championship for six years' out of seven.

It is now suggested that a social gathering of the different athletic institutions in Feilding should be held at. an early date to celebrate the numerous victories Rained by local competitors during the current year. A meeting will bo held at an early date to consider the matter. .
