Messrs. Dalgety and 00. report:—At our Fcildinc eaJo yesterday there was a good entry, but poor bidding. Sheep sold well, 225.; ewe hoggets, to 165.: inferior wether hogcets, to 9s. lid.; sprhiKine cows, £4 ss. to £7; springing heifers, to £6 155.; yearlings, to £2 175.; we-aner heifers, to £3; inferior three and four-year bullocks, £5; Rood springing heifers, £7; empty, heifers, to £4. , Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report on their -fortulchUy tale, held at Ekctahuna yesterday :—Our entry was in excess of advertised numbers, but only b, few pens of sheen came forward. Our cattle entry again consisted principally of dairy stock, which 6old at well up to recent sales' reports. Forward springing heifers, of which we had a fair entry, sold readily, and we had a Rood clearance at the following list of prices:—Fat four-tooth wethers, 21s. 6u. to 235. 9d.; store four-tooth wethers, 175.. 18s. Id., to 19s. 3d:; springinE heifers, £5, £6, to £7 4i?. 6d.; spriiiKinc dairy cows, £5 to £6 2s. 6d.; yearling Holstein and Jer-sey-cross, to (£4 65.; empty cows, to £4: speyed heifere, to £5 63. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co.. Ltd., report:—At our Levin sale yesterday we offered a fair ya,rdinß of cattle to a full attendance of buyers. Dairy cows, from £5 10s. to £7; yearlins; heifers, £3 17s. to £4 Sβ.; mixed yearlinEs, £2 4s. to £2 Bs. 6d.; empty store cows, £3 to' £3 10a. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., and reduced (Feilding branch) report as follows for the week endine September 13:—At Feildinß on Friday wo had a. good ya-rdinc of sheep and cattle, which sold .at late rates. Small wether hoggets, 9s. lid.; better, 13s. 10d. to 145.; small ewe hoccets, 13s. At Apiti on Tuesday we had a fair yarding of sheep and a good yarding of cattle, chiefly dairy stock. All steers and dairy etock (particularly epringinK heifers) sold well. Loan and Mercantile Agcucy Co., Ltd., and Reduced, report:— At- Palmcrston North on Thursday we had. a. moderate entry of cattle, which sold at the following prices :—Cattle: Weaner heifers, £2 7s. to £2 155.; mixed yearlings (small), £2 35.; cows in calf, £3 to £4 7sJ 6d.; heifers, with calf- at foot, £4; fifteen to eightoen-nionths heifers, £3 18s.; twoyear heifors, £3 19s, 6d.; store cows, £3 10s.; yearling bull, £3 7s. 6d.

Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report:—At Palinerston North, on Thursday, a. email entry of etock was yarded, and sales were mado at the following quotations:—Fat ewes, 175.; aged ewes, with 100 per cent, lambs, 17s. Ud.; small hoggets, 10s. Id.; springing heifere, £6 2s. 6d.; springing cows, £6 ss. to £6 155.; forward cows, £4 Is.; store 'cows, £2 10s. to £3 11s.; wcaners, 28s. . ' BOOM IN NEW SOUTH WALES.
