The match Public Trost-.v. Railways furnishes ono of the games in the semifinal of ihe Civil Sen-ice championship, and will be played on the. polo grounds, Miramar, this afternoon. The Public Trust team lias been, champion since 180 D, and as Railways contested the final with them in 1910 and 1911 to-day's match should be of "unusual interest"—at least the supplied report states no. Mr. T. H. Joues will have charge of the game. The other ■ 9e:ni-<iiial, between Treasury and Public Works, will bo replayed next week. LYTTELTON VISITORS. This afternoon a team from the Lyttclton Football Club, which won the Canterbury Rugby Union's third-class competition this year, going through the season without a defeat, arc playing the Oriental third-class team, winners of the championship here, who have nlsoan unbeaten record, and who, in addition, have a victory over the Wellington third-class topresentative toam to their credit. The match will be played ..at Nowtown Park at 1,30, .being played early to enable tho Lyttelton men to witness the renresentaive fixture at the' Athletic Park at 3 p.m., and. a very closo and intcrestiug , game should result.
