In. tho championship semi-finals, Imlay Saunders (Wanganui), playing a very fine game, boat Kupi Tnre.lm (lfawke.'s Bay) a up and ito play,'effecting a surprise. Two local j men (Druee and Barraud) had to go to I tho twenty-first hole before Borraud won. I Tho final 'n the afternoon provided a splendid game. Both competitors went out in 37 and camo home in 42, Barraud beating Snundors. 1 up. Barraud onco be. .fore won this championship, and is Iho local club champion. D. K. Murray (handicap 8, Hawkc-'s Bay), won (lie bogey handicap 2 up, E. Ci. Sim (handicap 7), square, being second, Thp Slncl; Brothers won tho four ball handicap, 7C—ll—o2. j
