Mr. M'Whaa warned the House that the Trust had already established itself in Brisbane, under the guise of the Australian Meat Company, and that just now it was after seven and a half millionsheep and lambs, which would bo'shipped' from Australasia. He added that unless the Parliaments concerned realised the danger and thwarted the trust, it would get those sheep and lambs. *, TRUST MEN "UNDER OBSERVATION." ■ (Rec. September 12, 1.10 a.m.) Melbourne, September 11. Referring to the American Beef Trust reports Mr. Hughes, the Federal Attor-ney-General, stated in the House that so far as ho knew the Government had no power 'effectively to grapple with such trusts. Mr. Tudor, Minister for Trade and Customs, said: Wo have had men connected with the Trust under observation for some time.
