FUNERAL OF THE MIKADO.
A THREE-DAY CEREMONY. By Telegraph—Press Association-Copyrieht (Rec. September 12, 1.10 a.m.) i Sydney, September 11. The Japanese Consulate-General has intimated that the funeral of the late Mikado will occupy Friday, Saturday, and Sunday next, owing to the distance between Tokio and Kioto being 328 miles. Since the deceased Emperor was the first ruler of Westernised .Japan, the obsequies are expected to establish a precedent.
