NEW ZEALAND COUNCIL MEETS. A meeting of the council of the New Zoa and Amateur .■Uhlotlc Association was held last night. Mr. A. Marryatt presided, and there were also present Messrs B. Guise, J. Cusack, C. E. Bridge A.' Chaffey, W. Larkin, Thompson, Clinch' ■ and Daviej. ' Letters were received from Messrs Pollock and Dunn, the council's representatives at a meeting held at Blenheim on September 1. The Olympic Council of New Zealand forwarded tho following .resolution, which had bwn carried at n meetiiis held last month :— "That with a view to establishing a permanent New Zealand Olympic fund, this council communicate with the governing bodies of all sports intornsted. recommending a nominal onnual subscription of (say) 6d. per club .member, and suggests that, such mini could be collected as a. registration fee or,otherwise as may be deemtd desirable." It was also decided to inform the centres. Messrs. Mnrryatt, Guise and the secretary were appointed a committee to consider ways and means. In connection with the Olympic Gjimes it was resolved "That this council is strictly opposed to separate representation for New Zealand."—A cony of this resolution is to bo forwarded to the Olympic Council for New Zealand. The nnnunl meeting wus fixed for Monday, November 25.
