HARRIERS.
The fourth annual five-mile cross-coun-try championship of tho Brooklyn Harriers was decided at Jliramar on Saturday. Fourteen runners faced the starter (Dr. Couzens). The result of the ran was:— C. Murray, 28min. alsec, Ist; P. Hodfon, 29min. Msec, 2nd; R. Ballantyne, 29min. otsec, 3rd; J, E. Byrne, 30mm. Slsec., 4th; L. Brown, S. Murray, and A. S. Olliver were tho nest to finish. Previous champions:—l9o9, 1910, and 1911, F. Hodson; 1912, C. Murray. A sealed handicap run. in conjunction with the championship resulted as follows:—R; Harvey, handicap smin. -iojec, actual time-3imin. 495«3.-, Ist; S. Murray, handicap 3min. 45sec, actual time 32miii. 58sec, 2nd; L. Brown, handicap 3min. Msec, actual time 32min. 26550., 3rd. The club desire to thank the following who acted ,as officials:—Dr. Couzens, starter; Messrs. G. I'rost and L. Cooke, timekeepers; Messrs. W. Coventry and G Scott, judges; and the trail-layers, Messrs. P. A. Wilton and V. J. Bvrne.
