ANNUAL REPORT.

,;The report to be presented'at the annual meeting of tho Glen-Oroua Co-opera-tive, Dairy Co., Ltd., which covers the period up to July 31, gives the following figures for the eleven months' operations, the 1910-11 totals being given' in parentheses:—Milk received, 21,125,5701b. (21,695,232); average (est, 3.749 (3.855); lbs. butter-fat, 792,208 (836,565); lbs. butter made 925,502 (961,349);' over-run, 16.82 (14.90); lbs. milk to lbs. butter, 22.82 (22.56). The butter' made, 413 tons 3cwt. lqr. 181b., shows a decrease of 16 tons 71b., compared ivith the make for the same period of the previous season. , The following monthly payments were made for butterfat:—September, lOld. per lb.; October, lid.; November, llfd.j April and May, 12d.; December to March, 'arid June and July, 12Jd.

The average payment wn3 11.94 d. per pound of butter-fat, nearly 1-Jd. per lb. more than tho previous season, _ ■ Tho directors, continued their usual practice last season of shipping the butter to the Home market on open consignment, with the result that the range of high prices ruling throughout the season there was.returned for butter.- ilhere.'is every indication at 'present of another season of high prices. Continental countries are''using more butter every year, thus exporting Mess to England. .Canada has' practically gone off the English butter market, and Siberian manufacturers are turning their attention to cheese. From New Zealand also there will be a decrease in export, estimated at from 2500 to 3000 tons of butter. The directors are keeping the Vancouver market _ in ■view, and will not neglect—should prices wnrrant it—to divert some of the butter there. • The profit and loss account, after deducting .£752. 3s. lid. for depreciation (being 5 per ■■ cent.' off all buildings, and 10 per cent, off all machinery and plant) shows,a net profit of ,£503 9s. lid. The directors recommend the 'payment of 6 per cent, dividend on the paid-up capital at Auzust 31,1911, which will absorb £305 10s. 6c1., and the balance, .6197 19s. 5.d. to be carried to tho reserve fund.
