SUPREME COURT.
THE FLOODS OF FEBRUARY, 1911. CLAIM ON COUNCIL. In (lie Supreme Court yesterday, hearing was concluded of a civil action arising out of the exceptionally heavy rainstorm of February 23, 11)11. The claim was for •tiiiU damages for injury to laud as the result of nn. inflow of water from Grafton Jtond, Koscneath. The parties to the action (iro John Wallace Kasson and Percy George Easson, plaintiffs, and ,the Wellington Citv Corporation, defendants. Mr. C. J'.' Skerrett, K.C., with him Mr. T. C. A. llislop, appeared for the plaintiffs. The City Solicitor (Mr. 3. O'Shea) appeared for tho Wellington City Corporation. Particulars of the claim and the defence were published in yesterday's issue. When the hearing opened on Friday, the claim, which had been £1;M, was reduced to X 750, the plaintiffs resting their case ou the wrong Mono by the corporation in allegedly closing a drain. Hearing of evidence occupied tho Court until about 2.15 p.m. yesterday, when his Honour Mr. Justice Chapman reserved decision. .
