At the end of to-day's play the Combined Counties' Eleven led the Australians by 120 runs, and have four wickets in hand. The weather was dull, and the attendance small. The wicket was good. Wbcu 11 he was missed in the loiig-(ield by Bardslcy, off Whitty, and at 27 Jennings missed him off Minnett—<i simple t/kier in tho slips. Hobbs and Hayes added 89 for the second wicket.
