COLLIERY EXPLOSION.
TWENTY-SEVEN MEN ENTOMBED. By Telegraph—Press Association-Copyriuht (Rec. September 5, 0.40 a.m.) I Paris, Septembor 5. An explosion ( of fire-damp lias occurred in the Clarence 'Mine at Bethune. Thirtythree men havo been rescued, of whom 23 wero seriously burned. Four dead bodies have been recovered. Thirtyseven men are still entombed, and their condition is hopeless.
