ROSENTHAL MURDER CASE.
AN IMPORTANT WITNESS. By Teleeranh— Press Aeeociatlon-CoDrrtctit London, September 3. Coupe, aa important witness in the Rosenthal murder case, has landed nt Liverpool. He has been urged to return, but at present refuses to do so. He declares he has been manager of a New York hotel and knows something. Hardly any policeman in New York is fcrustworthy, he says. (Rec. September 4, 11.20 p.m.) London, September 3. Coupe states that he saw the assassins decamp immediately after tho murder of Rosenthal. He is quite willing to give evidence before the American Consul. _ Rosenthal was murdered in tho street in front <i his hotel in New York in July last. Ho was a'notorious gambler, and in consequence of the police- raiding his gambling, saloon after he had, as he alleged, paid them for immunity, he retaliated by making a confession setting out his relations with a certain police lieutenant.
