For eighteen sections/at Tangatu there had been 205 applicants and 74 applicants for one section alone. .Would the Minister take immediate, steps to urge the opening of all Crown lands as speedily as possible? The Hon. W. F. MASSEY (Minister for Lands) said the Government were .doing their very best to open up land for all who required land, and instructions had been jjivjji *o the Departments concerned to do their best in that direction.
