CARTERTON NEWS.
Mr. W. Wakelin has disposed of his dwelling and section in \ ictoria Street to Sir. W. Croxou, and has purchased Mr. H. W. ICempton's property on Cobden Road, Belvedere.
Tile funeral of the late Mrs. Hinton, which took place at the Clareville Cemetery on Wednesday afternoon was largely attended. The Rev. R. Young conducted a service at the church, and later, at the cemetery. A large number of wreaths were sent.
Mr. A.' H. ICrahagen, of Carterton, has received the sad news of the death of his - mother at Nelson on Friday. The deceased lady was 80 years of age. Mr. Ivrahagen left for Nelson on, baturday morning. At a meeting of the Wairarapa South Count}' Council on Saturday, Councillors Moore, Stevens, Court, Hodder, and Perry were appointed a committee to confer with tho Carterton Borough Council in respect to the Dalefield Bridge.
