WOMEN AT BISLEY.

The "Daily Mail" of July 13 states that several women competed at Bisley in the Astor County championship, a team match between counties represented 'by the rifle clubs which have won their county challenge cup during the current year.

The competition was won by the Ham and Petersham Club for Surrey with a total of BS2, to which Mrs. W. L. Alton's fine shooting made a valuable contribution. Mrs. Alton, whose successes were a feature last year, mads a very good score at 50 yards, only dropping one point. She is a native of Cornwall, and her first appearance at Bisley was in 1910, when she entered as a tyro.

Competing as a member of the Middlesex County team for the fourth time was i!rs. Chapman, whose shooting record has not been exceeded by any of the women who attend the Bisley meeting. She first went to Bisley in 1901, and in 1905 she made the highest possible score a' 500 yards in the Stock Exchange competition, and was presented with a silver cup by the National Hide Association for being the iirst woman to do this. In the same team was Miss Carolyn Smith, who is Shooting, very well this year, haviug put on a 35 and a 3-1 at 500 and 600 yards in the Brooklaud match. She comes from Aberdeen and now lives in London.

About twelve women 1 have eatered for the All-comers' Aggregate this year, and many others were shooting ill the smallbore meeting. There were women shots at Bislev this year from overseas—Mrs. Fownthorp, from India, winner of the Surrey Ladies' championship this year and-a big game shot, and Mrs. James Scott, of the Shanghai Rifle Club." ■

There is, probably, no more disfiguring blemish on the face of a woman than a growth of superfluous hair, and none more unsafe upon which to experiment. Electrolysis is the only sure cure for such casfcs, find for this Mrs. holds tho highest, diploma and medical testimonials for skilful treatment and permanent restilts. Personal attention only.
