A very seasonable t<i>pic, ; "The \Rain • fall;" ivas the subject of an interesting lecture which was delivered by Mr. D. C. Bates (Government Meteorologist) before the members of the Teachers' Institute last evening. Mr. C. Barry (president of the branch) was in the chair, and there was a fair attendance of members, and the lecturer was accorded a hearty vote of thanks at the close of his remarks. Ncoio, June 20, 19U.
