Sir,—-This time you pointed your nasty insinuation, at myself personally. J repel it by stating a fact—namely, that I liavo hold and printed dunng thirty odd years the views X voiced in. the Council the other night on. the nomination of the Second Chamber. I brought those views with me into the Council, and I propose to take them out again unimpaired. In the meantime I claim the right to uphold them without asking permission ot hectoring editors, who, when without fact?, break the rules of. decent journalism by gratuitous assumption of motives.
