The labour Council has adopted a resolution that in. view of the high prices of meat, wheat, potatoes, onions, and butter the import duties should bo removed. One supporter of the motion declared that a meat combine would not allow New Zealand produce to enter Australia. The mover said the resolution would give the trust further work in cornering New Zealand- supplies.
