Twenty thousand persons attended tbo memorial service to the lnl« General Booth at Olympia. Wreaths Mirrounded General Booth's portrait at the front of this platform. The King and Queen Alexandra wire specially represented. The Commonwealth was represented by Captain Collins. Calvary preceded Iho coffin, which was borne on loot on a platform. The chief mourners were Mr. Brawwell Booth and his wife, Mrs, Booth-Helberg, Misses Catharine, Mnry, and Miriam Booth, and other relatives. The dominant characteristic of tha service is joyousness and tho expression of the belief that God would triumph. Songs of. praise, prayers, and Scripture reading were alternated impressively for two hours. The remains wore finally conveyed (o the Salvation Army's headquarters, to await tho funeral. A feature of the service wns the "penitents' ■form." Fervent prayers were ofl'trcd up that the great leader's death right be instrumental in bringing many to repentance.
