Ths War Office, in reply to Iho Lord Mayor of Belfast, regrets that it -is unable to supiily tlio proposed young citizen volunteers with rifles disused or unfit for firing. Correspondents mention that the War Office in 1009 supplied the Old Boys' Brigade of Dublin with discarded rifles for eighteenponco each.
