■ -,'— r» "—• . The monthly meeting of the Wellington Fire Police was held Inst evening nt the Central i'ire Station. Captain J. Wright was in the chair, and there was a full muster of niambci , ?. A donation of JL'5 ss. towards the funds of tho carps was received from the I'ive Brigade, and the secretary was instructed to acknowledge same. It was decided to place the sum of ,£lO 10s. in tho hands of Superintendent Tail and Captain Wright fer tho uso of 31 rs. M'Lcan, widow of tho lato Third Officer Jl'Lean, of No'. 2 station.
