A southern business man lately visited America, and while there he was impressed with the necessity for better restaurants in New Zealand, and especially in Auckland. Ho has decided to provide' Auckland with an up-to-date summer-cafe, and negotiations which have been proceeding for some days post have concluded in a portion of the ground floor of Smeeton's new buildings being secured for tho purpose. The establishment of the cafe -will accordingly bo commenced almost immediately, and it will bo open at the commencement of the summer.
