A STORMY UNION MEETING. • (By Telegraph—Press Assoclatloa.) Auckland, August 20. The Auckland General Labourers' Union had a stormy discussion in regard to Mr. P. Fraser occupying tho position of president, because ho is not following tho occupation of a general labourer. Evidence was taken by a committee, who brought in a recommendation against Mr. Fraser. This was considered at a special meeting, which was stormy, the chairman leaving tho meeting. Subsequently the committeo's recommendation was carried by a larga majority. It was stated that Mr. Fraser declined to vacato the position until a referendum of the union had been taken. Tho matter was further considered at a subsequent meeting,, and it was resolved to ask Mr. Fraser to resign. Mr. Fraser intimated that he would appeal to the Federation of Labour. >
