ANNIVERSARY SERVICES.

» — ' •; Anniversary services in connection w'th Kent Terrace Presbyterian Sunday School were hold yesterday. There were three services. That in the morning was conducted by the Tw. D. B. Forde Carlisle; that in the afternoon l>y the Rov. W. H. Hinton; nnd that in tho evening.by tho Bov. Hugh Bcggs, There was a laTge attendance at tho evening service, and at this sorvi«> the children sung a special anthem, "Our Festive Day." As the subject of his remarks tho Bov. H, Bcggs took "The Rainbow." Ho narrated tho Biblical story of the forming of the rainbow as an everlasting pledge to tqan that tho earth will not again suffer a deluge. He explained how the rainbow is formed by tho light and the clouds, and pointed out how symbolio it was of salvation— likening the clouds to tho clouds of sin. and tho light to the Light of Love. Tho children's singing was very good, and t.be-y seemed to realise that it was their duty to make tho anniversary day a notable one both to themselves and to the congregation. The collections at * the three services were in aid of the Sundav School .fnnds. The anniversary, tea anil entertainment will take placß on Tuesday.
