Ltd., report :— Wβ ,held our fortnightly sale at Dannevirko yesterday in the Miller's Koad yards, and offered a very fair entry of both sheep and cattle to the usual attendance of buyers. Fat stock sold well, and stoera equal to late, rates. Fat wethers, 20s. to 21s. 9d;; fat ewes, 17s. 3d. to 19s. 6d.; ewc3 in lamb, 17s. to 19a. 6d.; fat lambs, 15s. 4d. to 165.; empty ewes, 145.; hoggets (pour quality), 9s. 6d. to 123. Cattle: Fat cows, £7; cows in calf, up to £10; store cows, £3 125.. 6d. .
The New Zealand Loan and -Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., and Eeduced, report Mr the '■ week ■ ending .August 23 as follows :— At, Feilding- '.yesterday we had ."a good .yarding.,, of sheep and cattle. we made a- total clearance of sheep under the hammer, and, with the exception of one or two pens of cattle, we cleared tho yarding. Store ewes, 75.; light ewes, Bs. 7d.; cull hogprets, 7s. 6d.; wether hoggets, 13s. 2d.; better do., to 13s. 9d.; ewe hoggete, 13a. 4d.; others, to 14s. lid.; cull ewes, with lambs at foot, 13s. 7d.; fat ewes, 16s. 6d/ Cattle: Two and a. half-year steers, £4 155.: yearling steers, £2 13s. 6d.; empty cows, £3 9a.; yearling heifers, £2 7s. to £2 Bs.; small yearlings, 255.; store cows, £2 165.; backward cows, £4 Is.; dairy cows, to £6; empty heifers, £3, to £4 7s. 6d.; springing heifers, £5 fe. to £5 75.; l'olled Angus yearling heifers, £3 Bs. to £3 155.; Shorthorns, yearlings, lieifcrs, £3 2s. 6d.; twenty-month Shorthorn heifers, £3 lis. 6d.; Polled Anpus cows (store), £4. At Bangiwahia o» Tuesday only a small yarding came forward. Mixed a.ge ewes in lamb, 175.; good mixed hoggets, 15s. Id.; cull hoggets, 55.: ycajllng steers, £2; springing heifers, £6 12e. 6d.; dairy cows, to £8; forward cows, £4 10s.
A very successful sale was conducted by Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., for Mr. Dugald Thompson (Levin) on Wednesday. Amongst those present were buyers from Dannevirke, Hutt, Tawa I'lut, and Waiikanae. The sale commenced at 12.10 p.m., and was finished at 3.30 p.m., the herd, ol 190 cows taking just 200 minutes to sell. The highest price was for a grade Jersey cow at the drop, viz., £16 10s. Five cows made from £15' to £16, and twelve from £14 to £15. The whole herd (counting in store cows, empty cows, and empty heifers) averaged £8 19s. f>&. The cows In milk averaged £10 17s. 6d., and the springers averaged £11 ss. ■'

Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report:—At our Palraorston North sale on Thursday, we had a pood yarding o£ both Bheep and caittle, winch mot with a ready sale at the following prices :—Two-tooth ewes in lamb, 18s. 6d.; agod ewes in lamb. 14s. to 14s. 6d.; fat ewes, 15s. 10d.; fat and forward ewes, 14s. 3d. to 14s. 4d.; forward ewes, Us. 3d.; aged cull ewes, Iβ. 6d.; forward .wetherß, 15s. lid. to 19s. 7d.: hoggets, tOs. 2d., 12s.
