This week's Gazette announces that Siunbur or Ceylon dcoi (stags or bucks only) may Ik talin or Wlliil within the enmities of Man-uvatu, Ornnn, and Ivairanga between September 2 and liO. Licenses to kill such deer may ho issued by tho Chief Postmasler at Wellington, and the postmasters at Palmerston North, Bulls,- Foston, and Marton, on payment of'a license feo of 20s. N'3 licoiifee shall be allowed to take or kill more than three stags or bucks; and, further, tho raid Chief Postmaster and postmasters shall not issue more than oue licrnsß to take or kill deer to the same person . . . ■ , ■No hind or fawn will ba allowed-to be. killed 911 any pretext whatever; and no dogs will be allowed to accompany either the licensee or any attendant ho may have with him. . •
