(Before His Honour Mr. Justicc Edward?.) PROCEEDINGS IN TEN CASES. BRIEF SUMMARIES. In tlio Supremo Court yesterday, Mr. Justice Edwards heard a number of petitions in divorce. John Starr petitioned for dissolution of his marriago with Alico Muriel Starr on the ground of her misconduct with Charles D. Hargreaves. Mr. W. L. Ilothonberg appeared for tlio petitioner, mid Mr. i!. Jv. Xirltcnldio appeared for the respondent, but stated that 1:0 dcfonco haa been tiled. A decree nisi was gmnted, tliis to bo maiio absolute in threo' months. An application for costs was refused. Another undefended petition was that in which Richard John Hastcdt asked to have his marriage with Mary Ellen Hastedt dissolved, on the ground of respoiident's misconduct with William James Longluirst. ' Mr. 31. Myers ap; pcared for iho petitioner. A decree nisi wns granted, to be made absolute at the end of threo months. Costs were not granted. . , ~ , . In tho' caso in which • Margaret Ann Siovers asked to have her marriage with Arthur William Sievers .W. 1. M. Wilford appeared for tho petitioner. Desertion was the ground on which the divorce was sought. Respondent did not appear. A decree nisi was granted, to bo made absolute in three months. Costs on tho lowest scale were allowed against respondent. , r _~ Lily Hanson, for whom Mr. T. M. Wilford appeared, prayed for dissolution of her marriage with Christopher Cecil Hanson, on the ground of desertion. Ao defence had been filed. A decree nisi was granted, to be made absolute alter threo calendar months. Interim custody of the child was granted, and costs on tho lowest scalo were awarded against respondent. Robert Charles Phimcster, for whom Mr. T IC Sidey appeared, asked to be divorced from Selina l'himester, on the ground of desertion. Mr. T. M. Wilford appeared for tho respondent, but did not opposotho petition. After hearing evidence,, his Honour stated that it did not seem as if petitioner had troubled himselt-much • about his wife, but n decree nisi would, be granted, to be made absolute in three months. ... i Arthur Wilson was joined as co-respond-ent in the action in which Robert Henry Kcr petitioned for of his iniirriago with Helena Mabel Ker, on the ground of misconduct. Mr. 1. M. VMlford appeared for the petitioner. No defenco was filed. Decrce nisi, to be mado absolute at tho end of three months. Costs on the lowest scale were allowed. Thomas Edgar Green had Mr. 0. \\ . Neilson to appear for him in support of ft petition for divorco from' Ethel Slay Green, who, it was alleged, had deserted her husband, five years ago. Iho usual decree was grnutecl, to bo made absolute in three months. . Habitual drunkenness, cruelty, and failure to maintain, were the grounds on which Laura Margaret M'lnnes, prayed for dissolution of her marriage with, Alexander M'lnnes. Mr. T. M. Wilford appeared in support of the petition, the respondent not being represented. Ihe case was adjourned, his Honour mentioning that he would consult Mr. Justice Sim before giving decision. He was not satisfied that the evidence was sufficient. Misconduct was the ground of Daisy Grace Price's suit for divorce from William Alfred Prico. Mr. T. M. Wilford appeared for tho petitioner, but tho respondent was not represented. A decree nisi was granted, with' costs on tho lowest scale. Madoline Lumbye sought to have her marriage with Wiggo Peter Lttmbye dissolved on tho ground of desertion. Mr. T. M. Wilford appeared for tho petitioner, but ;the respondent was not represented.
