In the tenth week, however, No. 1 again went to the front with a lead of 81b., having marie a total increase of 4191b., compared with an increase by No. 2of 4111b. The pigs fed on pens ani pollard dressed heavier in proportion to their live weight, and were firmer in flesh than those' fed on pollard only. These pigs were sold a.t 4.23t1. a lb. live weight, and the profit shown was .£3 19s. 7d. for No. 1 pen and ,£4 3s. 3d. for No. 2 pen over and above the cost of feed. In another test with peas and pollard and pollard alone there were two pigs in each pen. It was found that the two rations were about equal in feeding value. A WINNER OF COMPETITIONS.
