Wolff, at Hummock Island, Bass Straits, several members of the crew testified that the captain was drunk on the night of the wreck. On the other hand, seamen who had been on the ship for three and a half years said they never saw the enptain touch drink. They thought the captain' loved his ship, and let his life go with her. p IMPROPER NAVIGATION. (Rec. August 22, 10.20 p.m.) Melbourne, August 22. The Court has found that tho wreck Of* the G. W. Wolff was caused by the improper and unskilful navigation of the master, Captain Thomas.
