The Legislative Assembly, believing that tho impeachment of tho President, Yuan-Shih-Kai, will fail, has accepted Yuan-Shih-Kai's proposals to explain the 'Government's attitude to the Hupeh members of the Assembly. The latter, after hearing the President's explanation, i-olunteered to persuade the Assembly not to proceed with the impeachment.
