A SENATOR INDICTED.
ALLEGED. BRIBERY BY OIL TRUST. By Telegranh-Press Aeeociatlon-Gopyrtelt Washington, August 21. Allegations have been placed before the United States Senate accusing Senator Penrose, of Philadelphia, of accepting a oheque for <£5000 from the general manager of the Standard Oil Company. Mr. Penrose is facing the probable impeachment. He promises, to reply to all the attacks when the Senate permits him to do so.
