BIBLE IN SCHOOLS
THE LEAGUE'S POLICY. (By Teleffraph.-Prcsß Association.! Christchurch, August 21. At e. meeting of the executive of the Bible-in-Schools' League to-da.v, the Primate presiding, it wns decided that tho leagues policy be to obtain a referendum on the question of religious instruction in tho State schools—on the lines of the Queensland and New/ South Wales systems. Details of organisation were discussed and decided upon. Canon Garland leaves' for Wellington next Monday. Ho will work in that province for the first half of September and in the Auckland district for the second half.
