(By Telegraph.—Special Correspondent.) Palmerston North, August 17. After o number of preliminary meetings, the Manawatu Automobile. Association has been permanently launched, and the following oific«'s elected:—President, Mr. I!. S. Abraham; vice-presidents, Dr. Stowe, and Mr. J.'H. P. Strang; .secretary, Mr. 11. C. Baker; treasurer, Mr. A. lveilier; committee, Messrs, C. F. Johnston, W. Benson (FeiUHng), C. Levin (Marton), W. Phelps (Bulls), A. J. Toxward, W. Strang, W. M. Bayley, C. Louisson, 11. Akers, and Dr. Wilson, two other members to be elected from tho Levin and Foxtou districts. The district to be 1 covered by tho association will extend from Marlon, to Levin. -The question ol tho proix>S2il affiliation of the Manawatu Motor t'yclo Club was left in tho hands of the committee. Tho Manawatu Hockey Association has decided to send two ladies' teams to the tournament to be held in Christchwrcli at the beginning of September.' It has also arranged to send a. junior team to Makterton to play tho Wairarapa junior representatives on August 28. ■"
