YEAR'S OPERATIONS. (Br Teloir»ph.—Press Association.) ' Pahiatua, August IG. The annual report of the Ballance Dairy Company issued to-dav.shows that the quantity of milk supoiied during the 1911-12 season was 26,301,8431b., yielding 992,1681b..0f butter-fat. Home-separated cream producing 11,0271b. 'of butter-fat was also received,' making a total of 1,003,1931b. of butter-fat for tho season. -During'the 1910-11 season, 29,158,06211). of milk, yielding' 1,100,5531b. of butter-fat, was delivered to .the various butter lories and creameries. Tho total price realised (although the quantity of milk supplied during the 1910-11 season was nearly 3,000,0001b. greater than last year's supply) was i 59,209 is. 3d., as compared with' .£55,115 Os. 3d. for the previous season—an increase of ,£4M4 4s. Tho directors state that the monetary return is a record for the company. Some fifty tons were sold to Vancouver a<; a satisfactory price. Advances have been made at Is. per lb. for butter-fat throughout the year, with an additional penny i,n August. The directors propose, from the surplus, to pay to shareholders a further halfpenny per lb. on butter-fat supplied, five per cent, dividend on capital, and to write tho balance off for depreciation.
