SYDNEY TRAGEDY.
MURDER AND SUICIDE. By TeleEraDh-Prcss Afssociation-Copyrlcht (Kec. August 15, 9.25 p.m.) ' Sydney, August 15. 'A tragedy occurred at Lilyfield, one of tho city suburbs. A man, Harry Johnstone, fatally shot George Morgan, wounded Morgan's wife, and then shot himself in the mouth.'
Morgan look his intended wife to his brother's place to stay on Saturday, and married her yesterday. At dinner-time to-day Morgan came home and asked his wife to accompany him to the back-yard, where they found Johnstone. After sonio heated talk Johnstono drew a revolver and shot Morgan and his wife. Then, rushing through, the house, he shot himself on the footpath.
There aro varying stories as to the cause of the tragedy. One is that the woman, who was the wife of Johnstone, quarrelled with her husband and left him, and that Morgan took her to his brother's house under the name of Miss Russell, stating that he intended to marry her. It is uncertain if he dids
Tho woman admitted in the hospital that her name was Mrs. Johnstone. She is suffering from a bullet wound through tho hand, and a blow on the head from the butt of a revolver.
Johnstono seriously wounded himself. ;' Morgan received two bullets in the head. The ages of the victims are from 22 to 25. JOHNSTONE SUCCUMBS. (Kec. August 16, 0.50 a.m.) Sydney, August 15. Johnstone has succumbed to his selfintlicted injuries. His wife is not seriously injured.
