DUB FROM BRITISH COLUMBIA. ■ The Wairarapa correspondent of the Weekly Press' is responsible for the statement that Mr. W. Remnant has purchased from Mr. T. R, Pearson, of Port Hammond, British Columbia, a purebred shorthorn bull calf. The youngster is only eight months old, and 'was bred ■by Mr. M. L. Halecy, of Sprhigford, Ontario, the price paid being .£l2l. This highpriced- animal ie named Abbekerk Marquis of Sunnycroft, and Mr. Remnant anticipates receiving his new purchase about August 11 (presumably by to-dav's Snn Francisco steamer). " •
