A PROTRACTED DISPUTE. By Telegraph-Presß Associatbn-CopyriEUt Sydney, August 14. . The "Herald" states that tho New South Wales Cabinet is divided on the question of leasing Government Houso to the Federal Government as a residence for the Governor-Genera'l, and that a deadlock has been reached.
It is reported from Melbourne that Mr. Fisher, Tederal Prime Minister, on being questioned on tho matter in tho Houso of Representatives, said an understanding had been reached which, ho thought, would bo mutually , satisfactory to all parties.
