Broad, acting-president of tho I'laxmillors' Association, pointed out that, under tho royalty agreement, royalties for green flax were bawd on the first laporte of sales cabled from London by tho High Commissioner, each month, and if tlieso reports were not accurate then trouble arose The higher grades of hemp did not go beyond Australia, and apparently there wns littlo demand for thorn at Home, and ho /suggested that tho Hi<»h Commissioner should arrange to place the higher grades on view, so .that they might bo brought under the notice of manufacturers. Any information in regard to improvements in shipments, etc.. would' bo gladly rcwivpn by the Millers' Association, which v;on)d -bo only too pleased to assist the flipili Commitsioner in any way possible. In reply, the Hon. T. Mackenzie stated that lie 'would make a special note of what Mr. Bread had said, as he finite saw the importance cf accurate cabled reports in reprard to produce of all kinds. Other matters mentioned would also receive his careful attention.
