RUGBY FOOTBALL CAPITAL BILL TO-DAT. The meeting between' Oriental and Potoiie, which has been looked forward to ever since tho commencement of the. second round of tho championship matches, is set down for decision at Petone this afternoon, and a very largo crowd from tho city is expected to go out to eta the game. In addition to tho usual players' train from Lambton at 2.10, a special running direct to Pctono is to leavo Lambton nt 2.30, which will allow spectators to nrrivo on the ground in good time for tho kick-off. At the Pnric, Athletic will dofond their position in the list against Melrose. The latter is an improving team, and may effect a- surprise. The. annual junior representative, match with Wairarapa is being played on No. 2, and, judging from the strength of tho junior teams this season, a game well up to senior standard should eventuate. Local juniors are asked to meet the selectors at the Park at 2.30. WELLINGTON REPRESENTATIVES. The selector hag made the following selections for the team to niako the northern tour, which leaves Wellington on. August 19:— J. Ryan, Grace, Murray, Young, Ramsden, M'Kenzie, F. Roberts, E. Roberts, Eliott, Hills, Moffitt, Gillespie, Wilson, M'FarJane, R. Patori, Ready. All tho above are to attend the Melrose gymnasium on Monday evening at 8. Tho itinerary of the tour is:—Play Rotorua on August 21; Auckland, August 24; Taranaki, August 29; Wanganui (probably), August 31. Two forwards have yet to be selected, and these, together with the teams to play Southland on Wednesday nest, and tho team to play Hawke's Bay on August 21, have yet to be announced. TOUR OF AMERICA.
