HIDE AND SKIN SALES.

Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Ltd., report:—At our fortnightly auction Etvle of. wool, skins, hides and tallow yesterday afternoon, we offered a. good catalogue of all classes to the usual attendance of buyers. Competition was very animated for a'll lines. , Sheepskins espeoially were keenly sought after, and prices for those, -'n sympathy with the London market, ehowed an advance of 3d. to id. per lb. Hides were in good demand, and any change, in prices was in sellers' favour. Wool— Crutehnijrs. good 6M., medium Sid. to 6}d., inferior 4d.; crossbred, 63d. to Bd.; dead 6d. to 7d.; pieces, 5Jd. to 5Jd.
