LIVE STOCK SALES.
Messrs. Dalgety ajid Co., Ltd., report as follows on their fortnightly stock sale held at tho Upper Hutt yesterday :—There was a small yarding of sheep and a. good yarding of cattle. Sheep were keenly competed for, hut tho sale of cattle was draerging at the start, but livened up as the sale went on. Sheep: Ewes, in lamb, to 19s. Bd.; mixed sheep, to 12s. 7d. Cattle: Sprinsine cows, £4 10s., £5. £6, to £3; springing heifers, £4 10s.. £6, to £6 65.; cows in calf, £1 155., £2 Is., £3 2s; 6d.; store cows, forward, to £5; storo cows, £2 25., £3 Sa. 6d., to £3 65.; cows and calves, £3 6c-. to £3 12s. 6d. Spring cart mare, £15 165.; pony maro and foal, £4 ss. Messrs. Dalgety and Co. report:—At our Palmerston uale yesterday there was a fairly large yarding, but few buyers. Small mixed hoggets, Bs. Id. to Us. 4d.: good ewe hoggets, to 13s. 7d.; good mixed hoggets, Us. Id.; empty-ewes, Us. lOd. to 12s.' 4d.; two-tooth ewes, in lamb, 16s. 6d. Cattle: Twenty-months steers. £■!■; cows in calf, £4, £5, to £5 ss. Jte-srs. Abraham and Williams,. Ltd., report:—At our Palmerston North sale yesterday we had a small yarding of both sheep and cattle, which sold freely at current rates. Hoggets, 125.; culls, ss. Id.; fat ewes, 18s. 3d.; yoarline steers, £3; small, £2; dairy cows, £5, £6 2s. 6d„ £7 10s., to £10: store cowb. £2 10s. to £3.
