FEILDING.

A fire occurred at Apiti last night. Premises belonging to Mr.- Cummerfield (empty) and tho house of * P. M'Connell were totally destroyed. 'The damage is about .£OOO. ' . Merino lambs have alreadv appeared in 1< eliding which is earlier than was the case last season. Lambs are also appearing _dnily in the Sandon district, but so, by the way, is sheep-worrying by does.
