(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Palmerston N., August 8. The Palmerston North Coursing Club began its meeting to-day in fine weather. Tho first heats in tho North Island Challenge Stake, North Island Challenge Plate, and North Island Challenge Purse were run. The favourite, Master Wairiki (owned by Messrs. Morton and Fletcher) was knocked out in the second round of the Stake by Messrs." Cotterill and Soreiuon's Ringmaster.
