Knocks, of Ofaki, claiming 15s. 6d. f.ir kmcm'atograph negatives alleged to I ave been prepared and sold. Knocks counter-claimed for .£SO as damages on the ground that Pathe Freres had not cari'ied out a certain, contract. 1 Mi-.'E. M., Sladden appeared for the plaintiff, and Mr.-O. Beei-o for tie defendant. His Worship,. agreeing with points raised by Mr. Beere, non-snited the plaintiff. Mr. Beere's objections to the case being proceeded \vith were that the plaint note was bad because it described the plaintiif as being of Wellington, whereas ho was of Paris; and that the Wellington agent had not a sufficient pewor of attorney. v UNDEFENDED CASES. Dr. M'ArthuT, S.M., entered judgment for plaintiffs by default in the following cases:—John Fuller and Sons v. Thomas Crooks, .£23, costs £2 Ms.; Charles Hill and Sons y. J. F. H.
