Tom Ball, playing with a "Challenger" Golf Ball, was in splendid form on April Gth, when ho visited Byileet, and played two rounds' with Mr. Wakley. Ho completed both rounds in 08. CYCLING. . ■ s - : WARRNAMBOOL ROAD RACE. By Tcleeraph—Press Association—Copyright Melbourne, August 3. The Warrnanibool road race has been cancelled by the Dunlop Company, owing to differences between the League of Victorian Wheelmen, the Inter-Club Cycling Association, and the Victorian Cycle Traders' Association over the control of road racing. The Dunlop Rubber Company of Australasia state that the League of Victorian Wheelmen and the Victorian InterClub Cvcling Association, supported by tho cycle traders, for some •time past have been in dispute over tho control and government of road racing in Victoria, and have- been unable to arrive at a satisfactory settlement of the points in dispute. Tho Dunlop Company maintained a neutral attitude throughout''tlic dispute,' and in the event of no agreement being arrived at, notified their willingness to act as arbitrators. No' settlement' was arrived at up to July 25, and consequently the promoters of the race reluctantly decided to abandon tho race this year.
